About me
AMATEUR WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHER

I have been fortunate to have spent a lifetime living in the beautiful British Countryside.
As a boy I became interested in fishing and every week-end would see me by a river or lake. My parents did not have a car so I would either catch a train or strap my fishing rods to the crossbar of my bike.
Without realising, I was learning about the flora and fauna that I saw while sitting quietly waiting for a fish to bite.
I always carried a cheap camera with me and recorded anything I saw. On returning home, I would pore through every book I had to find out everything I could about the things I had photographed.
When I was in my twenties, I had the opportunity to ride thoroughbred horses in Friston Forest and the surrounding countryside. The next few years were dominated by horses and I would travel to Jevington in East Sussex where a friend kept his horses.

I still had my camera with me and took photos at every opportunity.
I am now retired from a life time in Precision Engineering and my passion for photography, particularly wildlife, grew stronger and I now use the latest digital cameras and lenses.
The images on my website will hopefully reflect the passion I have for everything connected to a rural way of life.
I will add folders relating to farming (work and fun), country shows (particularly horses) and all country activities.
There will be a large section devoted to British Wildlife including some award winning images as well as others that have been published, both here and in Europe and America.
I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I have enjoyed taking them.
